GreyLab

8K plays 4.7 out of 5

Overview

GreyLab is a pixel lab where each run is stitched from short physics matches. You travel a node map, play Ballfall or volleyball, and pick one of three random modifiers between rounds. They change gravity, ball shape, movement and collisions, so the next match never plays the same. The hub unlocks challenges, a points mode and a collection of discovered modifiers. Your goal is to finish the route and carry an even stranger loadout into the next run.

Game instructions

Press Play, then Start a run in the hub. Keyboard: A/D or arrows to move, Space to jump. Gamepad: left stick and the bottom face button. Pause with Escape or the pause button; the pause screen lists modifiers you already picked. On the node map, reach the next match. Before or after a fight, choose 1 of 3 modifiers. It stays for the rest of the run. In Ballfall, dodge falling objects and stay on the arena. In volleyball, jump to hit the ball; first to three points wins. A loss sends you back to the map or hub. A win opens the next node. Hub progress is saved after you act.
