Core: Birth of a Star

Core: Birth of a Star

7K plays 3.9 out of 5

Overview

You start with a single speck of cosmic dust and one click. You finish with a quasar that outshines a galaxy. Clicks give energy, energy buys generators: sparks, capacitors, reactors, colliders, rifts. They keep working while the game is closed. The more energy you have earned in total, the larger the object at the centre: dust, asteroid, comet, moon, planets, giants, stars, black hole. There are 22 objects, and each one looks different — terrain, clouds, rings and moons are drawn in real time. Clicking stays useful at every stage: a fast streak raises the multiplier up to x4, critical hits pay triple, and energy orbs drift past the core waiting to be caught. When growth stalls, collapse the core: progress resets, but you earn crystals to spend on permanent upgrades. Progress is stored in the cloud and carries across devices.

Game instructions

Tap or click the core in the centre of the screen. Every click gives energy. Keep going: clicking without pauses raises the streak multiplier up to x4. Critical hits fire at random and pay triple. Spend energy on generators in the Generators tab. They earn on their own, even while the game is closed, and every 25 you buy doubles that generator's output. Catch the energy orbs that drift past the core — you have to hit them. In the Upgrades tab, strengthen your click and resonance. Once you reach a million energy, collapse the core: it resets progress but pays crystals for permanent upgrades. The Collection tab shows every object you have unlocked — any of them can be placed at the centre of the screen.
