Overview

You were promised easy loot. Ahead lies a dungeon of 44 cards: goblins and skeletons, weapons and potions. You bring 20 health and the hope of getting out alive. Scoundrel is a single-player roguelike card game based on the solitaire game by Zach Gage and Kurt Bieg (2011). Runs are short, and every choice matters: what to fight now, what to leave for later and when to run. • Three kinds of card, plenty of tactics: monsters, weapons and potions. • Weapons wear down: decide who gets the blade and who gets your fists. • Daily challenge: one deck for everyone, unlimited attempts and a shared leaderboard. • 44 cards with their own artwork, plus backgrounds and card faces to collect. • 19 achievements with rewards. • A two-minute tutorial and a damage preview before every blow.

Game instructions

Get through the whole deck of 44 cards with at least 1 health left. Cards arrive in rooms of four. • In each room take any three cards in any order. The fourth stays and carries over to the next room. • ♠ Spades and ♣ clubs are monsters. The number is their strength: how much health a hit costs. Jack 11, queen 12, king 13, ace 14. • ♦ Diamonds are weapons. A weapon softens a monster's hit by its number. After a win, it can only be used on monsters no stronger than the last one it beat. • ♥ Hearts are potions. They heal by their number, but never above 20. Only the first potion in a room works. • Don't like the room? Flee before taking a card. Just not twice in a row. Tap a card to take it. For a monster, choose fists or your weapon: the buttons show how much health you will lose.
