Sea Trade Network

491K plays 4.1 out of 5

Overview

You start as a beginning trader with one boat and six islands around you. Every island has its own character: some catch fish and cut timber, others are waiting for spices and rum. Prices on the open market live their own life and swing by up to ±40%, so a profitable run is something you find, not something you memorise. Buy cheap, sail the sea lanes around the land, sell dear. Profit goes into speed, hold capacity and better hulls: boat, ketch, brig, fluyt, galleon — up to five ships in your fleet. Once you have mastered a route, hand it to the autopilot and it keeps earning while you are offline. Storms, demand festivals and supply gluts reshuffle the map every couple of minutes. Scouting opens Cotton Shore and Smugglers Rock, and the trade charter starts the whole business over with a permanent bonus to revenue. Plays in the browser and on your phone, progress saves itself.

Game instructions

1. Tap an island on the map to open its market with buy and sell prices. 2. Send a ship there. Voyages run in real time: neighbouring islands take 20–30 seconds in the starter boat. 3. When the ship docks, buy the good marked as cheap. The button shows the exact amount of the deal. 4. Open the island that wants that good and send the ship over. The expected profit is shown before you set sail. 5. Sell the cargo — the price difference is your income. 6. Spend the profit on upgrades: fleet speed, hold capacity, another ship, or scouting a new island. Tips: "Produces" means cheap here, "Wants" means dear here. Buying and selling on the same island is always a loss because of the trader's markup. After five manual runs on one pair of islands the autopilot unlocks — switch it on in the Fleet tab. Earn $50,000 in a run and you can take the trade charter: progress resets, but the +15% revenue bonus is yours forever.
