Overview

Tower Checkers is a strategy game where a captured checker never leaves the board. It goes under your own tower instead, and the top checker decides who owns a tower. One well-timed jump can free your captured pieces and leave you open to a counter-attack, so the player who plans further ahead wins. There are 25 difficulty levels, from Novice to Immortal, and your robot opponent changes with the level. Win games, earn experience and unlock harder opponents. Hints and undo help you understand tricky positions, and the tutorial explains the rules from scratch. Spend the coins you earn on customization: checker and king skins, board decorations, stands with cheering fans and cell labels. The music comes in three styles and follows the mood of the game. Match statistics and a leaderboard are included. Play on desktop or mobile.

Game instructions

Goal: leave your opponent without a move by capturing or blocking all their towers. Click or tap a tower, then the square you want to move to. A checker moves one square diagonally forward. If an enemy tower is next to yours with an empty square behind it, you must capture by jumping over it, forward or backward. A chain of captures has to be completed. When you capture, the top checker of the enemy tower goes to the bottom of yours. The top checker of a tower decides its colour and owner. A checker that reaches the last row becomes a king. Kings move and capture any distance along a diagonal, but cannot turn back during a capture chain. If an endgame with kings goes on for a long time without captures, the game is a draw.
